Went home for a 10-day trip to Kake. The Alaska Marine Highway System (Alaska ferry aka the blue canoe) schedule worked out such that I could take my Subaru Legacy round trip and load up with art supplies and artwork.

I taught a Friday night 2 hr. workshop on Beginning Formline and the participants liked it so much they requested a second workshop. How cool is that?

We had use of the Kake Grade School, materials and advertising and coordinating by Organized Village of Kake and SEARHC Wise Families program.

Thanks to all who participated and helped sponsor. Other notable artists in attendance were Kake artists Mike Jackson and Alan Davis.

Northwest Coast Formline is the design style we Tlingits (and Haida and Tsimpshian) use as the language to tell the stories of who we are, ie. our clan crest art.
