Take a look at The Art Story website and their treatment of Modern Art history.

Ideas from anywhere are good ideas (according to me). I often get ideas for my Tlingit designs from wildly different art from our traditional Tlinit art.

I got stuck in the New Guinea section of the Berlin Museum of Ethnology. I told my good friend Peter Corey about my attraction to their art, and he bought for me "Oceania: Art of the Pacific Islands in the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art.

There's nothing comparable to feeding off artwork of other cultures in museum exhibits either (short of visiting the actual culture).

Ideas are FOOD
